Eric Porter Comer

Mr. Eric Porter Comer, age 70, of Mt Airy, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Surry County on September 11, 1952 to the late Henry and Peggy Gentry Comer.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Bessie Bowman Comer; children, Ashley Jones (James), Samuel Comer (Tiffany); six grandchildren; brother, Wyatt Comer (Prillyanti).  In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Comer.  There will be no formal service at the funeral home, however, the family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.
