Ermie Lee (Niten) Marshall

Mrs. Ermie Lee Niten Marshall, 92 of Ararat, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Heritage Hall, Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, Virginia. Mrs. Marshall was born November 16, 1928 in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Euel Columbus and Annie Keith Niten. Ermie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Judy Woods, Trina Sechrist; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Amy Marshall, Kenneth Pigg; twelve grandchildren, Steven, Summer and Gaspar, Anthony and Angela, Tim, Ann, Jessica, Amy, Sandy, Karen, Jared and Judy, Joshua and Taylor, Landon; thirteen great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Roosevelt Marshall, a daughter, Laverne Keith, four sisters, Rena Bowman, Nina Marshall, Etta Smith, Ella Niten; three brothers, Edgar Niten, John, Niten, and Bill Niten. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bradley Atkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is assisting the family.
