Ernest Eugene Brown

Elder Ernest Eugene Brown, age 72, of Ronda, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. He was born in Surry County, on April 30, 1949, to the late Ernest Hoover Brown and the late Odessa Mae Lowe Brown. He was the pastor in several churches in this area, including Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, a Veteran of the US army, having served in Vietnam. Surviving is his wife, Wanda White Brown of 52 years of marriage; daughters, Tamela Couch, Sherry Brown; son, Daniel and Stephanie Brown; grandchildren, Amanda Couch, Heather Couch, Jacob Brown, Grace Brown, Julianna and Matt Drow, Danielle Brown, Shayne English; great-grandchildren, Darian Drow, Avalyn Drow; sisters and brother-in-law, Pauline and Jerry Fleenor, Iris Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlton James and Bunny Brown, Burnice and Stevanna Brown, Eddie Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Brown. Ernest lived his life to the fullest with much love and compassion towards everyone he encountered. His love that he portrayed has blessed so many and now heaven is a sweeter place with his presence. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday January 20, 2022, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Kirby and Elder David Minter will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 20, 2022, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time for his service at 11:00 AM.
