Esau Ayers

Mr. Esau Jacob Ayers, 72, of Cana, VA, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Waddell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galax, VA.  Mr. Ayers was born May 23, 1948, in Carroll County, VA, the son of the late Fate and Lizzie Edwards Ayers.  He is survived by three sisters, Pearlie of Hillsville, VA, Carrie Mae Harrell of Fancy Gap, VA, and Lou Emmie of Palm Beach, FL; and four brothers, Yancy Ayers of Ridgeway, VA, Gilbert Ayers and Lonnie Ayers, both of Cana, VA, and Arthur Franklin Ayers of Fancy Gap, VA.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by a brother, Britain Ayers.  Mr. Ayers will be laid to rest in the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cana, VA.  No formal visitation or service will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
