Esther Fain

        Mrs. Esther Horvath Fain, age 93 of Collinsville, Virginia passed away at SOVAH Health in Martinsville on June 2, 2019.  She was born in Ohio on May 26, 1926 to the late Ignace Horvath and Mary Kristin Synea Horvath.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Fain; son, Calvin Harding Fain; two sisters; and two brothers.  Mrs. Fain was a member of Woolwine United Methodist Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsville.

        Mrs. Fain is survived by her loving cousins and caregivers, Willis and Nan Hubbard of Collinsville; two sisters, Helen Eillen Zavatsky and Margaret Filo and husband, Harold, all of Connecticut; sister-in-law, Carol Fain of Woolwine; and several nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services for Mrs. Fain will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 7:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Ron Mateer and Keith Spangenberg officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 11:00 am in Woolwine cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Woolwine Cemetery, C/o Garland Cockram, 9515 Woolwine Hwy., Woolwine, VA  24185.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
