Ethel Faye Bullins Crouse

Mrs. Ethel Faye Bullins Crouse, 76, of 170 Bluff Street, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, September 8, 2009, at Springwood Care Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Crouse was born March 24, 1933, in Surry County, to the late Harvey and Dealie McCormick Bullins. She retired from Spencer's Inc. after many years of service and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Terry Creed of Mount Airy; two stepgrandchildren, Andrew Creed and his wife, Allison, of Dobson and Eric Creed of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Elva and the Rev. Russ Nixon of Thurmond; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lorraine Bullins of Kernersville and Dewey and Nellie Bullins of Boonville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crouse was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Crouse; a sister, Dorothy McCann; and three brothers, Kemp Bullins, Kelly Bullins, and Clyde Bullins. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 11, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Spurlin and the Rev. Russ Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
