Mrs. Ethel Elsie Williams Samuel Age 96 of 111 Sams Way, Mt. Airy, NC., widow of Mr. G. M. "Doc" Samuel passed away Sunday October 8, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Samuel was born May 15, 1910 in Surry County to the late Alvis Franklin and Ida Mae Haymore Williams, she retired from Lynn Hosiery Mills at the age of 80 years old then worked until the age of 88 part time at Bojangle's Restaurant and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are Two daughters and son-in-law Ruby and Roger Mosley, Sr. and Frankie Samuel Monday all of Mt. Airy, Fifteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and by a sister-in-law Dolly Williams of Mt. Airy. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Samuel was preceded in death by a daughter Dannie Lawson, two sons George Kelly Samuel and Larry W. Samuel, by two sisters Bertie Dodson and Nova Tolbert, two brothers Barney Williams and Glenn Williams and by a son-in-law Sam Monday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday night 7:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Lanny R. Atkins with burial to follow on Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 PM until time of service at Holly Spring Baptist Church and at other times at Mrs. Samuel's home, 111 Sams Way Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to Yokefellow Cooperative Ministry, 215 Jones School Rd. Mt. Airy, NC. 27030.
