Ethel Mae Simpson

Mrs. Ethel Mae Hodges Simpson, age 88, of Dobson, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Northern Hospital. She was born September 5, 1930 in Surry County to the late Robert Clyde and Hattie Myrtle York Hodges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmer G. Simpson; two sisters LoreRee Hodges and Alama Lee Collins; three brothers, Lonnie Hodges, Robert Hodges and Harold Thomas Hodges.  Mrs. Simpson was retired from Tultex and a member of Daysprings Baptist Church.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sissy Simpson. There will be a graveside service Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church with Brother Roger Pickett and Brother Ricky Burcham officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Life Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 411 New Life Church Road, Mount Airy NC 27030. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the simpson family.
