Eula Lee Creed Hawks

Mrs. Eula Lee Creed Hawks, 94, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on her birthday, Tuesday November 23, 2021, from Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Airy. She was born in Mercer County, West Virginia, November 23, 1927, to the late James W. Creed and Mary Alma Barker Creed. She was a loving homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Velma and Harrol Blevins; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Hawks and Charlotte Duncan-Hawks; four grandchildren and spouses, David and Leandra Blevins, Sherry Blevins, Jason and Linda Blevins, and Steven and Kim Hawks; two step-grandchildren, Sheila Duncan-Harris and Brian, and Cathy Duncan-Durham; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Hawks, Lilly Hawks, Marian Blevins, and Jonathan Blevins; a sister, Louise Harris; niece and spouse, Lisa and Teddy Key; nephew and spouse, Jimmy and Renita Davis; a special nephew, Michael Leftwich; and a great-niece, Ashley Key. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph “Joe” Reuben Hawks; a son and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Gail Hawks, and Una Mae Tolbert Hawks; a grandson, James Hawks; a sister, Eva Creed; a brother-in-law, Johnny Harris; and three brothers, Bruce Creed, Wes Creed, and Mack Creed. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with Brother Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Peak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
