Eula Hope Young

            Mrs. Eula Hope Young, age 84 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Galax Nursing and Rehab.  She was born in Patrick County on March 31, 1934 to the late Charlie and Leola Young Walton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Young; granddaughter, Susan Horton; great granddaughters, Faith and Sarah Dalton; brother, Luther Walton; and a sister, Lucy Scott.  Mrs. Young had retired from United Elastic.

            Surviving are a daughter, Betty Stanley; two sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Guenda Young, Jesse Young; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; one brother, David Walton; one sister, Virginia Scearce; and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Winston Puckett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Reed Island Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
