Eunice Faye Blackburn Gough

Mrs. Eunice Faye Blackburn Gough, 80, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 6, 2022, at her home.  Mrs. Gough was born July 21, 1941, in Surry County, the daughter of the late James Elmer and Virginia Woodruff Blackburn.  Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  Left to cherish her memories are two sons and daughters-in-law, Coby and Gina Gough and Chad and Kim Gough; five grandsons and their wives, Jarrod and Adrienne Gough, Spencer and Kaitlan Gough, Chase and Deyton Gough, Karson and Abigail Gough, and Max Gough; six great-grandchildren, Eli, Asher, Kyson, Baylor, Grayson, and Mallee; a sister, Louise Gordon; and a special friend, Robin Hicks.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gough was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Max Gough.  A graveside service will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Travis Sechrist officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
