Ms. Eva Mae Hicks Branch, age 64 of Dobson passed away on Friday evening July 25, 2008 at her home. She was born in Grayson County Virginia to the Late Jasper Owen Hicks and the late Vergie Elizabeth Roberts Hicks; she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and was a Truck Driver for Douglas and Sons. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Angela Branch Parker and Darren Parker of Dobson a Grandson William Cole Parker; by one sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Edward Toney of Mt. Airy; by two brothers and sister-in-law Bill and Linda Hicks of Mt. Airy, Charles Hicks of Dobson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday July 28, 2008 at Liberty Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to the Church to lie in state 30 Min. before the service. The services will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Tucker. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Sunday evening from 7 until 9.
