Eva Frances "Dancing Momma" Perdue

         Mrs. Eva Frances Thomas Perdue “Dancing Momma”, age 81 of Patrick Springs, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home.  She was born on April 28, 1942, in Eden, NC to the late Joseph M. Thomas and Zada Barton Thomas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Perdue; two sisters, Shirley Martin, Viola Walker; and one brother, Edison Thomas.  Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She loved dancing and travelling in the moonlight.

         Surviving are her children, James Perdue (Ann Martin) of Stuart, Eva Lynn Lawless (Teddy) of Stuart, Kenneth Perdue of Patrick Springs; four grandchildren, William Perdue (Mollie), Heather Goad (Michael Lawson), Josh Perdue (Heather), Ashley Perdue (Marquise); 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

         Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Spencer-Shough Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
