EvaJoy Roddy Harp

Mrs. EvaJoy Roddy Harp, age 74, of Walnut Cove, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Alston Brook Nursing Facility in Lexington.  She was born in Surry County on August 25, 1948, to the late Winter and Elsie Quisenberry Roddy.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Teresa Rattz (Michael), Angela Hernandez, Tina Westbrook (Lloyd), Christopher Harp (Jancie), Ricky Harp; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; family friend, Jimmy Waddell Jr.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harp was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Eugene Harp; daughter, Cathy Harp; sisters, Opal Parker, Mildred Roddy, Ome Simmons; brother, Wayne Roddy.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by son, Chris Harp, and Rev. Josh Jenkins.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in High Point.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
