Evelyn Matthews Aufiero

Mrs. Evelyn Matthews Aufiero, 91, of Lowgap, passed away Monday, September 15, 2008, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sparta. Mrs. Aufiero was born March 11, 1917, in Ocean County, NJ, to the late Donald L. and Loretta Truex Matthews. She was a retired seamstress. She is survived by a sister, Thelma Matthews Jacoby of Andover, NJ; a niece, Linda Meier of Bangor, ME; a nephew, Guy Buchanan of Walkertown; and several other nieces and nephews in Seattle, WA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aufiero was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Aufiero; four sisters; and two brothers. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and causing the burial to take place in Lakewood, NJ, beside her late husband, Dominick Aufiero. There are no local services planned.
