Evelyn "McMillian" Ayers

Mrs. Elizabeth Evelyn McMillian Ayers, 87, of Ararat, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior from her home on Wednesday afternoon, August 25, 2021. She was born on January 22, 1934, in Carroll County to the late Cullen Bryant McMillian and Ruby Helen Hiatt McMillian. She was a member of Willow Hill Moravian Church. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, cooking, and volunteering at Northern Regional Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are a sister and two brothers-in-law, Jo Ann and Mike Marshall, and Joe Ayers; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Clinton Ayers; sister, Adell Ayers; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Coy and Carrie McMillian, Robert “Duke” and Clarsie McMillian, and Sanford McMillian. A graveside service will be held on Friday morning, August 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Crooked Oak Moravian Church Cemetery with Pastor Kenny King officiating.
