Mrs. Evelyn Marie Smith Redman Age 93 Mt. Airy, NC. passed away Friday August 30, 2013 at Twelve Oak Rest Home. Mrs. Redman was born October 13, 1920 in Surry County to the late Pedro and Mary Mathis Smith, she was retired from Renfro Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Billie Jo and Joe Blizard of Mt. Airy, two grandchildren Storm Blizard of Mt. Airy and Wendy Green of York, PA. great grandchildren Heather Forrest and Sean, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Maxine Scott of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Redman was preceded in death by her husband Joe Redman, a son Terry Smith, three sisters Mallie Davis, Vannie Shelton and Ruby Everhart and by two brothers Claude Smith and Archie Smith. Graveside services will be held Sunday September 1, 2013 at 3:00P.M. at Oakdale Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Andrew Draughn. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses for Mrs. Redman.
