Mrs. Evelyn Louise Inman Stone, age71, of Dobson, passed away, Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born July 10, 1950, in Surry County to the late Willie Martin Inman and the late Bessie White Inman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-sisters, Ila Marsh, Mozelle Key and Nellie Tilley, and brother, Jimmy Inman. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Jimmie Stone; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Brad Atkins; grandchildren, Brooke and Brynna Atkins; special nephew and family, Jeff, Stacy and Bailey Inman; special friend, Joann Cockerham; special sister-in-law, Betty Inman; and her special family at JoJo’s Florist. Evelyn retired from Tultex and worked at the florist as long as her health permitted and also was a member of New Life Baptist Church. There will be a graveside service conducted Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Oscar Hill and Reverend Kenneth Jessup officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1284 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. There will no formal services held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Stone family.
