Mr. Everette Eugene Dixon Age 79 of 1132 Hillview Dr. King, NC. husband of Mrs. Carrine Avis Secrest Dixon passed away Wednesday July 11, 2007 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Dixon was born April 22, 1928 in Alleghany County to the late William Genie Dixon and Eva Mae Goodson Dixon, he was retired from Hennis Freight Lines and then was employed by Triad Auto Supply in Kernersville and was also of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Dixon was a loving and giving person to all that knew him. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Carrine Avis Secrest Dixon of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Steve Hall of King and Diane and Joe Lashmit of Walkertown, three grandchildren and spouse Anita and Robert Quarles of Houston, TX, Scott Lashmit and Kristin Lashmit both of Walkertown, two great grandchildren Justin Kiehl and Amanda Quarles, one sister and brother-in-law Susie and Roger Inman of Mt. Airy, one brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Mary Dixon of Siloam and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by one sister Eva Evans and by six brothers Roy Dixon, Garvie Dixon, Earl Dixon, Verlon Dixon, Robert Dixon and Clyde Dixon. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 14, 2007 at 3:30 PM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. David Joyce and Mr. Junior Dixon with burial to follow in the Pinnacle Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Stokes County P.O. Box 10 Danbury, NC. 27016. The family would like to give a special thank you to Essie Painter, to the Acute Palliative Care Center at Forsyth Medical Center and to Hospice of Stokes County.
