Everette "Eugene" Key

Mr. Everette “Eugene” Key, age 90, of Dobson, NC passed away on Saturday November 12, 2022, in Surry County.  He was born on May 1, 1932, to the late Cleve Key and the late Minnie Lawson Key. He was retired from Bassett Furniture Manufacturing, and a member of Friendly Chapel.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Mays Key; son Harold Key; two sisters and nine brothers.  Surviving is his three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Garland Creel, Janet Worrell, Norma and Tony Doby; sons, Everette Lee Key, William Key; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday November 15, 2022, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Friendly Chapel Church Cemetery.   Rev. Ray Hudson will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of his service at 2:00 PM.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Key family.
