Exie Gwynn Evans

Mrs. Exie Gwynn Evans, age 93, of Ararat, VA, passed away at the home of her daughter on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.  She was born in Patrick County on December 6, 1928, to the late Levi and Rachel Hall Gwynn.  She was a loving mother, and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are daughter and son-in-law, Rita Bowman (Tim), sons and daughters-in-law, John Evans (Elda), David Evans (Gina); grandchildren, Katie Bowman, Natalie Evans, and Paul Evans.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Evans; son, Gary Harrell; sisters, Effie Bowman, Elsie Bowman, and Ellie Marshall; brothers, John, Curtis, and Willard Gwynn.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Arlis Thomas. Burial will follow in the Gwynn Family Cemetery in Ararat, VA.  The Family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12:30 PM until time for the service.
