Fairie Cooke Harrell

Mrs. Fairie Elizabeth Cooke Harrell, age 78, of Mount Airy passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Twelve Oaks Nursing Facility. Mrs. Harrell was born in Surry County on February 4, 1943, to the late Warren Howard and Ruth Birchell Ward Cooke. Fairie was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joseph K. Harrell; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ian K. Harrell, Erik J. Harrell and wife Allison; special family friends, Brian Reif and wife Erin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Cooke Gammons. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at God’s Acre with Dr. Neil Routh officiating. Mrs. Harrell’s body will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Moody Funeral.
