Faith Virginia Viola Boyd Mitchell

Mrs. Faith Virginia Viola Boyd Mitchell, 85, of Claudville, VA passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on September 8, 1928 to the late Wilcher and Hessie Lineback Boyd. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and was a member of Grace Moravian Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter "Shorty" Mitchell of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryle and Grady Carroll III of Hickory, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Mitchell of Lowgap, NC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and one on the way; a brother and sister-in-law, Dee and Jean Boyd of Knoxville, TN. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Boyd. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Grace Moravian Church with the Rev. Charles Fishel and Pastor Jennie Hemrick officiating. Burial will follow in God's Acre. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the Grace Moravian Church.
