Faith Maureen "Tencie" Puckett

Mrs. Faith Maureen "Tencie" Puckett, 80, of Hillsville, VA passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Pfafftown, NC Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born July 25, 1933 in Patrick County, VA to the late Hiram and Laura Quesinberry Montgomery. Mrs. Puckett was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bristol, VA. She traveled with her devoted husband of over 63 years, Rev. Rayton Puckett, in his faithful ministry of the gospel. Also left to cherish her memory are, one daughter, Glenda McCormick and husband, Donnie of Pfafftown; three sons, Rayton "Ray" Puckett, Jr. and wife, Jo of Summerfield, NC, Stan Puckett and wife, Kay of Greeneville, TN, Steve Puckett and wife, Lori of Jamestown, NC; seven grandchildren, Brandon Ray Puckett, and wife, Rhonda, Leah McCormick, Zane McCormick, Cameron Puckett and wife, Lizzy, Carling Achberger and husband, Nick, Luke Puckett and Wyatt Puckett; two great grandchildren, Abbigail Faith and Alexander Puckett; two sisters, Fenton Ashburn of Walnut Cove, NC and Glennis Hensley and husband, Rev. Clinton Hensley of Ararat, VA; four brothers, Burton Montgomery of Pilot Mountain, Alton Montgomery of Goodview, VA, Walton Montgomery of Newport News, VA and Philgene Montgomery and wife, Beth of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by a brother, Layton Montgomery; three half-sisters, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Epperson Smith, Maxie Collins and Vadie Mills Rogers; two half-brothers, Warren Montgomery and Arlis Vipperman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bill Watson. Burial will follow in the Puckett Family Cemetery, Pilot View Rd., Hillsville, VA with Rev. Brad Davis. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
