Fannie Ruth (Hawks) Beane

Mrs. Fannie Ruth Hawks Beane, age 86, of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at State Employees Credit Union Hospice Home in Yadkinville. Mrs. Beane was born on November 12, 1937 in Surry County to the late Harvey Loman Hawks, Sr. and Etta Hull Hawks. Fannie was a loving wife, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed volunteering at the Foothills Food Pantry in Dobson, where she spent many years following her retirement. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Hawks East, Nelda Johnson and Jimmy; and a brother, Harvey Loman “H.L” Hawks; special nephew and his family, Brad and Gaye Wood and Lexie and Mitchell Dowell; special friend, Barbara Freeman; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beane was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Ray Chaney, her second husband, Raymond Clifford Beane; two sisters, infant Delta Faye Hawks, Geraldine Hawks Wood; and a brother Donald Owen Hawks. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Moody ~ Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Dobson with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Dobson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Moody ~ Davis Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Twelve Oaks Nursing Facility and Mountain Valley Hospice for all the loving care provided to Mrs. Beane during her illness.
