Fannie Ada Newman

Ms Fannie Ada Newman age 93 of 1454 Red Brush Road, Mt. Airy, NC passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the home of her daughter. She was born April 18, 1913 in Surry County, NC to the late Wesley and Anna Laura Bruner Newman. She was retired from Renfro Corp and was a member of the Union Hill Friends Meeting. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Laura Ann and Billy Doss of the home, three grandchildren and spouses, Debra and Mike Reeves, Mt. Airy, NC Dawn Crutchfield, Mt. Airy, NC, Jonathan and Sara Doss of Summerville, SC, nine great grandchildren, Michael Reeves, Fayetteville, NC, Matthew Reeves, Raleigh, NC, Amanda Reeves, Mt. Airy, NC, Jessica Crutchfield, Nathan Crutchfield and Daniel Crutchfield, all of Mt. Airy, NC, Ben Doss, Ellen Doss and Luke Doss all of Summerville, SC. In addition to Ms Newman's parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt Airy, conducted by Rev. Ronald Thomas, Rev. Elmo Hiatt and Pastor Jonathan Doss. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
