Faye Carolyn (Blackley) Green

Ms. Faye Carolyn Blackley Green, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Universal Health Care in King, North Carolina.  Ms. Green was born September 22, 1946, in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late Orbie and Helen Short Blackey.  Faye was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie Linton, Christie Richards and husband, Tim; a granddaughter and spouse, Whitney Lynn Cook and husband, Nathaniel; great-grandchildren, Elijah Cook,  Theodore Cook; one sister, Glenda Taylor; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Green was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirlene Blackley Parker, Patsy Blackley, June Blackley Butler; two brothers, Bobby Blackley, Terry Blackley.  A private graveside service at Peoples Church Cemetery.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, for more information contact Christie Richards at hillvocrehab@gmail.com.
