Faye Elizabeth Hill McCormick

Mrs. Faye Elizabeth Hill McCormick, age 76, of Claudville, Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 19, 2022, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Stokes. She was born in Stokes County on March 19, 1946, to the late Glover Wilson Hill and Hassie Nellie Goad Hill. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by one sister, Alice “Red” Hill Martin (Stuart “Winkey” Martin); one brother, Jessie Hill; one sister-in-law, Margaret McCormick; three brothers-in-law, Roy McCormick, James Spence, and Vernon McCormick. Faye was a beautiful example of a Godly woman. She was a faithful member of Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church. Her selfless service for others continued until her very last days. One of her greatest joys in life was her two grandsons. She enjoyed blessing others with her hand-crafted gifts and talents. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. McCormick are her loving husband of 55 years, Ray McCormick of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth Roberson (Junior); grandchildren, Eli Roberson (Hannah) and expected baby girl in October; Elliott Roberson (Meredith) and expected baby girl in January; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean Hill Joyce (Dennis), Linda Hill Culler (Nelson); two brothers-in-law, Frank McCormick, Dean McCormick (Teresa); two sisters-in-law, Eva Fain, Annette Spence; numerous special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.

A graveside service for Mrs. McCormick will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Old Mayo Mountain Cemetery with Pastor Michael Morrison officiating. Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. McCormick will be; Jason Fain, Ethan McCormick, Chuck Moorefield, Ricky Hill, David Rippey, Jeff Bowman, Terry Amos, and Henry Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Old Mayo Mountain Cemetery Fund, c/o Carolyn Jessup, 1482 Hatchers Chapel Road, Claudville, VA 24076.
