Fern Katherine Draughn

Ms. Fern Katherine Draughn, age 90, of Dobson, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Dunmore Plantation. She was born July 15, 1931, in Surry County to the late Samuel James Draughn and the late Grace Edmonds Draughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Grover Draughn, Paul Draughn and Glenn Draughn; special sisters-in-law, Louise Simpson Draughn and Jewel Draughn; and nephew David Draughn. Left to cherish her memories are her special nieces and nephews, James and Carolyn Draughn, Jake and Catherine Draughn, Clinton and Sandra Ayers, Lewis and Trish Draughn, Jerry Draughn, Karen and Ken Forester, Thomas and Melissa Thompson, Jeffrey and Melissa Draughn, Winford and Annette Draughn, Becky Bottoms and Ralph Draughn. Ms. Draughn was a member of New Home Church of Christ, a homemaker and farmer. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in the New Home Church of Christ Cemetery with Brother Tim Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
