Flora Marie Brewer Faw

Mrs. Flora Marie Brewer Faw, 77, of 231 Delaware Avenue, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday morning, October 13, 2010, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Faw was born April 11, 1933, in Forsyth County, daughter of the late Marion Lee and Carrie Wheatley Brewer. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Clayton Faw, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Debora Pruitt of North Wilkesboro; four sons, Marvin Clayton Faw, Jr., Barron Faw, Timothy Faw, and Obie Dean Faw, all of Mount Airy; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nora and Earl Snody and Mabel Brewer, all of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faw was preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Faw; three sisters, Pauline Delovick, Shella Mae Holbrook, and Ruth Arrington; and four brothers, Thomas E. Brewer, Raymond Brewer, Spencer Brewer, and R.J. Brewer. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Mr. Steve Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
