Flora Lee Payne Tesh

Mrs. Flora Lee Payne Tesh, 89, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Mount Airy. Mrs. Tesh was born April 12, 1918, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Thomas Jefferson and Sadie Yokley Payne. She graduated from Mount Airy High School and attended W.C. Greensboro and Queen's College in Charlotte. She retired from Bocock-Stroud and was a member of Ardmore Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Tesh is survived by a daughter, Linda Lee Tesh Klane of Woodland Hills, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip Bruce and Marilyn Tesh of Louisburg, KS; three grandchildren, David Klane of Canoga Park, CA, Tracy Ann Klane of Woodland Hills, CA, and Jon Klane of Malibu, CA; two stepgrandchildren, Blythe Bayliff of San Diego, CA, and David Tappan of Louisburg, KS; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tesh was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Clinton Tesh; and two sisters, Helen Payne Perry and Margaret Payne Skidmore. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dennis W. "Bud" Cameron, and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Suite 999, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220, or the charity of the donor's choice.
