Mrs. Flossie Mae Inman Kirkman, 96, of Mt. Airy, went to be with her heavenly family on Sunday, November7th at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson Surrounded by her family. She was born in Surry County to the late John and Charity Atkins Inman, August 25, 1925. She was a retired textile worker and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She was a hard worker and was dedicated to her family. Flossie was blessed to be able to live at home by herself until the last few weeks of her life. She is survived by one daughter, and a son-in-law, Diane and Joe Bill Norman; a son, Wesley Kirkman and Kathy Parker of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren, Chris and Marsha Norman of Hamptonville, and Brandon Norman and Jessica Trent of Bristol, Virginia; one great-grandson, Brantley Levi Norman of Ohio; special friends, Shirley Grubbs, Judy Middleton, Joan Crotts, and Linda Kirkman. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at James Monroe Hiatt Cemetery in Sheltontown with services conducted by friends and family. For those wishing to pay their respects you may do so between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to thank all her friends as well as the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love, prayers, and dedication shown during this time.
