Frances Pauline Lowe Collins

Mrs. Frances Pauline Lowe Collins, 84, of 3524 West Pine Street, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Collins was born April 19, 1922, in Surry County, to the late John Lloyd and Susan Frances Matthews Lowe. She worked in the cafeteria at North Surry High School for many years and was a member of Ivy Green Baptist Church. She is survived by five daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna and J.W. Williams, Diane and Steve Niston, Vicki Delores and James Allen Flippin, and Cheryl Denise Reeves, all of Mount Airy, and Deborah Collins Bryant of Elkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy Christopher and Dana Collins of Mount Airy; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Lowe Bowlin of Mount Airy; and a brother, John Lloyd Lowe, Jr. of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Collins, Jr.; a son-in-law, Clarence Bryant; three sisters, Mary Lowe Grimes, Lillian Lowe Pecor, and Maxine Lowe Boyles; and five brothers, Willie Adam Lowe, Eddie Lowe, Joseph Newell Lowe, Wayne Lowe, and Grover Cleveland Lowe. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Lester Bryant and the Rev. Brian Smith, and burial will follow in the Crooked Oak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home of Donna and J.W. Williams, 1606 Pine Ridge Road, Mount Airy.
