Frances Gaye Holyfield Edmonds

Mrs. Frances Gaye Holyfield Edmonds age 63 of 418 Snow Hill Drive, Mt. Airy, NC wife of Frank Edmonds went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1944 in Surry County to the late Grover Buxton Holyfield and Lizzie Vance Stewart Holyfield. She was a member of Friendly Chapel Church was retired from Surry Friends of Seniors and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Frank Edmonds of the home, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Claudine and James Quesinberry, Mt. Airy, NC, Ellen Holyfield, Booneville, NC, Janet and Gaylan Tucker, Mt. Airy, NC, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne S. Holyfield, Mt. Airy, NC, Vance and Bonnie Holyfield, Mt. Airy, NC, three nieces and husband, Jennifer and Ron Chilton, Wake Forest, NC, Jessica Holyfield and Ashley Holyfield both of Mt. Airy, NC, a nephew and wife, Arron and Melissa Tucker of Cana, VA a step niece, Taylor Bickford, Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edmonds was preceded in death by a nephew, Chris Quesinberry. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Junior Dawson, Bro. Don Collins and Dr. David Sparks with burial to follow in the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Monday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
