Frances Audrey Edwards McMillian

Mrs. Frances Audrey Edwards McMillian, 86, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.  She was born in Carroll County on June 10, 1935, to the late DW Edwards and Nettie Bowman Edwards.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.  Mrs. McMillian was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Northern Regional Hospital from the dietary department.  She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her flowers.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Ann Jennings and husband Donald; three grandchildren, Richard Howlett, Angelia Clark and husband Kevin, and David Jennings and wife Brandi; three great-grandchildren, Justin Clark, Brianna Collins, and Maggie Stevens; two great great-grandchildren, Rylan Clark, and Axel Collins; three sisters, Ruth Hawks, Mildred Sparks, and Lucy Wall; two brothers, Joel Edwards, and Daniel Edwards; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her husband, Auban Glenwood McMillian; one sister, Lillian Horton; and by two brothers, Elbert Edwards, and George Edwards.  Funeral services for Frances will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00PM with the Rev. Emmett Crotts officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the cemetery fund at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the McMillian family.
