Frances Geneva Robertson Goins

Mrs. Frances Geneva Robertson Goins, 84, of 1297 Galax Trail, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007, at Surry Community Nursing Center. Mrs. Goins was born April 12, 1922, in Surry County, to the late W.M. "Matt" and Geneva Williams Robertson. She was retired from Renfro Corporation and a charter member of North Side Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and Al Hawks of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law, Edna Robertson of High Point; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Jefferson Goins; two sisters, Corrina Hodge and Mable Ledford; and four brothers, Bill Robertson, Carl Robertson, James Robertson, and Jack Robertson. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM at North Side Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dean Eaton and burial will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy where her body will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
