Frances Carol Dean Holder

Ms. Frances Carol Dean Brown Holder, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Surry Community Health and Rehab, in Mt. Airy NC.  She was born in Surry County on May 27, 1950 to the late Daniel R. Brown and the late Versie Noah Brown.  She was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church, and a retired Dietitian at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Lucile Brown, and a special brother-in-law, Jesse Holder.  Surviving is her sister, Helen Holder; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard Wayne and Esdell Brown; nieces Julie and Noel Easter, Tabitha Brown, Andrea and Ken Draughn, Tanya and Josh Forest; nephew, Johnny Brown; several great-nieces and great nephews; special friend, Betty Brooks; and several other friends and family.  A graveside service will be held Monday 2:00 PM February 8, 2021, in the Mountain Park Cemetery, Rev. Jake Easter and Rev. Claude Loyd will officiate the service.  Her body will lie in state at Moody-Davis Funeral on Sunday February 7, 2021, from 12:30 PM until 4:00 PM. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Moody- Davis Funeral Home is serving the Holder Family.
