Frances Shew Norman
Mrs. Sally Frances Shew Norman, age 76, of Elkin, NC, passed away on Monday April 8th, 2024, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born August 13, 1947, to the late Noah Shew and the late Hazel Irene Freeman Shew, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Noah Grey Shew. She was retired from Wayne Farms and was a member of Gum Orchard Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, Thomas Edward Dewey Norman; daughters and son-in-law, Tennia and Ricky Leazer, Sherrie Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Heather Norman; grandchildren, Erica Lloyd, Candice and Tyler Howell, Drew and Amber Leazer, Karson Norman, Kade Norman, Daniel Norman, Hanna and Chase Holder, Ethan Higgins; great-grandchildren, Abbi Lloyd, Maddie Kate Lloyd, Ty Lloyd, Eliza Howell, Kayden Leazer, Makayla Leazer, Hallie Holder; great-great-grandchild, Daxen Scales; sisters, Peggy Shew, Debra and Lucky Mayberry; several nieces and nephews, a special niece Teresa Norman Coe and a special friend Gayle Holt. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, April 12, 2024, in Zephyr Cemetery, William Shew, will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday April 11, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family has requested in lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family also wants to give a special Thank You, to the Hospice Home staff and Angie, Ramona, Debbie, Cathy, Millette, and Elizabeth her caregivers.
