Frank Garner Boyd, Jr.

Mr. Frank Garner Boyd, Jr. age 57, of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at his home. He was born at Eglin Air Force Base, in Okaloosa County, Florida on April 11, 1964, to Frank Garner and Gracie Surratt Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Gracie Surratt Boyd; sister, Teresa “T” Boyd; brother and sister-in-law, Mark Boyd and Maggie; a niece, Marissa Howard and Paul; a nephew Mark Boyd, Jr.; three great-nephews, Beau Howard, Tripp Howard, Trace Howard; his dog, Scout; numerous aunts, uncles; cousins & his best buddy “Hammer” Keith Hawks. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Frank Garner Boyd. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Alex Martin. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on 12:00 PM from 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Frank’s honor to Wounded Warriors or a charity of the donor’s choice. Moody Funeral Services on Mount Airy is serving the family.
