Frankie Ann Samuel Monday

Mrs. Frankie Ann Samuel Monday, 61, of 123 Sams Way, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, September 7, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Monday was born October 8, 1945, in Surry County, to the late G.M. "Doc" and Ethel Elsie Williams Samuel. She retired from Sprint and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Dean and Kimberly Hall of Rural Hall; two grandchildren, William Levi Hall and Noah Samuel Hall, both of Rural Hall; and a sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Roger J. Mosley, Sr. of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Monday was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Samuel "Sam" Monday; a sister, Dannie Lawson; and two brothers, Larry W. Samuel and George Kelly Samuel. The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 9, 2007, at 5:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Lanny R. Atkins and Pastor Jim Newsome, Jr. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the church. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of ICU-1 at Forsyth Medical Center for all of their wonderful care. A special thank you is also extended to Dr. Robert Bradley Thomason, III for his years of dedication, care and support of Frankie and her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center, 6825 Rollingview Drive, Tobaccoville, NC 27050 (www.riverwoodtrc.org).
