Frankie Irene Hawks Thomas

Mrs. Frankie Irene Hawks Thomas, age 72 of Cana, VA passed away at her home on April 1, 2008. Mrs. Thomas was born in Carroll County VA on August 20, 1935 to the late Cleaver C. and Emaline T. Hawks. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was a friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. "Jim" Thomas; a son, Bruce Thomas; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Dan Inman of Sanford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Everett and Cora Hawks, Jackie and Juanita Hawks, and Ollie Hawks all of Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by a dear sister, Edith Orene Hawks; two brothers, Burley Odell Hawks and Junior Hawks. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bud Cameron. Burial will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will accept friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt, Airy. The family would like to express a special thanks to Sabrina McKeithan for the special care she gave Mrs. Thomas and her family during her illness.
