Franklin Barker Haynes

Mr. Franklin Barker "Barkie" Haynes, 56, of 101 Marantha Lane, Lowgap, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007, at his home. Mr. Haynes was born July 5, 1951, in Forsyth County, to the late Franklin Pierce and Foye Barker Haynes. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer McMillian of Pinnacle and Leangela Jeanette Haynes of Galax, VA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys and Norman Hopkins and Betty Ann Cave, all of Mount Airy; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude and Eulala Haynes of Lowgap, Russell "Buck" and Alma Haynes of Clemmons, and Banner and Brenda Haynes and Wayne and Mary Haynes, all of King. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ramey and Fannie Lou Lyons; and a brother, Bill Haynes. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Lester Bryant, and burial will follow in the Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
