Fred Dale Gwynn

Mr. Fred Dale Gwynn, 79, of Ararat, VA passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on June 29, 1937 to the late Ed and Gracie Bateman Gwynn. Mr. Gwynn was a retired farmer. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and John Lathan, Sandy and David Meeks, Natasha and Antonio Mendoza; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabelene and Ralph Harris, Frances Sumner; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Mr. Lonnie Thompson. In addition to his parents Mr. Gwynn was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Moore Gwynn; a grandson, Nathan Gwynn; sisters, Margie Hall, and Shirlene Harold; brothers, Cable Gwynn, and Lewis Gwynn. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Harold Family Cemetery with the Rev. Butch Holder officiating.
