Fred Buddy Johnson

Mr. Fred Buddy Johnson, age 74 of Dobson, passed away on Saturday evening March 22, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. He was born in Yadkin County on March 18, 1934 to the late James McCoy Johnson and the late Vallie Marion Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Ricky Dale Johnson, one brother Coy Johnson Jr. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Vaughn Bassett Furniture. Surviving are his wife Gladys Doss Johnson of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Janice Johnson and Jimmy Stokes of Dobson; two sons and daughter-in-law James Ray and Gail Poindexter Johnson, Keith Allen Johnson all of Dobson; by five grandchildren Derek Woody, Jason Stokes, Eric Stokes, Melissa Johnson, and Chelsea Johnson; by two great-grandchildren Rylee Stokes and Anthony Carpenter. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday March 25, 2008 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson with burial to follow in the Little Richmond Baptist Church Cemetery. The Services will be conducted by Rev. Barlow Stanley and Rev. Hank Robertson. The Family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7 PM until 9 PM.
