Frederick Sewell Schofield, Jr

Mr. Frederick Sewell Schofield, Jr., 84, of Dobson, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Golden Living Center. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Frederick Sewell Schofield, Sr. and Annabell Wright Schofield. Mr. Schofield was a retired real estate broker, a member of Dobson Church of God, and a veteran of the United States Navy. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Zelma Norman Schofield of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Wendy and Everett Ching of Hawaii and Elizabeth Harclerode of Bedford, PA; a son, Frederick Sewell Schofield, III; five grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Velno Johnson and her husband, James, of Elkin. In addition to his parents, a brother Everett Schofield preceded him in death The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Forbush Friends Church, with the Rev. Homer Lowdermilk and the Rev. Andy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home, where his body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
