Fredna Galyean Puckett Atkins

Mrs. Fredna Galyean Puckett Atkins, age 69, of Mt. Airy, wife of Mr. Abner Atkins passed away on Saturday October 13, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Atkins was born March 17, 1938 in Lambsburg, VA. to the late Guy and Bertha Upchurch Galyean, she was a retired Textile Worker and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are her husband Abner Atkins of the home, three daughters Lynn Casstevens, Rita Horton and Vickie Tate all of Mt. Airy, one son Dennis "Bud" Puckett of Dobson, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two step daughters Lynn Quesinberry and Rachel Hutchens both of Mt. Airy, one step son Kenneth Atkins of Mt. Airy, Six step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren, two step great great grandchildren, three sisters Barbara Cave and Mildred Patino both of Dobson and Virginia Marshall of Mt. Airy, three brothers Charlie Galyean of King, James "Buck" Galyean of Lexington and Ron Galyean of Zephur Springs, FL., the father of her children Wade Puckett and special friend Billie Mae Davis and her special caregiver Lou Quesinberry. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Ricky Cochran. The family will receive friends Monday night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. and at other times at her home or the home of her daughter Lynn Casstevens, 179 Casstevens Rd. Mt.
