Gail Faye Holden Hawks

Mrs. Gail Faye Holden Hawks, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, November 19, 2016, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Hawks was born July 24, 1955, in Surry County, the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Hattie Tolbert Holden. Gail worked at Kentucky Derby Hosiery for many years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steven Ray and Kim Hawks of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Lily Faith Hawks and Landon Ryan Hawks; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Patricia Holden of Greenville, TN; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Charlotte Hawks of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wade Hawks; a son, James Ray Hawks; and a brother, Billy Holden. No formal visitation or memorial service will be held at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at the home of Steven Ray and Kim Hawks, 257 Tolbert Road, Mount Airy.
