Gail Dean Johnson

Ms. Gail Dean Parker Johnson, 80, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, May 06, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on June 1, 1937 to the late John and Lula Venable Parker.  Ms. Johnson worked for Libby Hill Restaurant for over 39 years, and a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ronnie Thomas; a son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Wendy Johnson; grandchildren, Misty Hearn, Michael Thomas, Joshua Johnson, and Amanda Johnson; great grandchildren, Caleb Hearn, Dakoda Hearn, Elijah Hearn, Parklynn Thomas, Luke Johnson, and Gwyneth Johnson; a brother, Ray Parker.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Little Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
