Gale Whitlow Buchanan

Mr. Gale Whitlow Buchanan, 79, of Lowgap, passed away Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Buchanan was born June 2, 1930, in Wayne County, MI, the second son born to the late Hallot Howard and Edith Early Buchanan. Gale served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Meier of Bangor, ME; and a son, Guy Buchanan of Walkertown. In addition to his parents, Mr. Buchanan was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ann Matthews Buchanan; a son, Kevin Donald Buchanan; and a brother, Gordon Buchanan. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and arranging the burial to take place in the Greenville Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ, beside his late wife, Joan, where they will be together again. There are no local services planned.
