Garry Wayne Weddle

 Mr. Garry Wayne Weddle went home to Jesus on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. He was born on August 22, 1948 to the late Wayne Lester Weddle and Helen Nixon Weddle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phil Weddle, and Jerry Weddle. Garry was a well-known and beloved resident at Surry Community Health Center in Mount Airy.  Surry Community was his home the past few years and the nurses and staff were his family as much as anyone. Garry was always building his models, putting puzzles together, roaming up and down the halls, and talking to his friends. He loved Arby’s and he loved his coffee!  Garry enjoyed life to the fullest. He is survived by a daughter, Amy Weddle, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny Weddle (Shannon) and Darryl Weddle (Renee’).  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a very special nurse, Vanessa Somers.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. You are home now big brother; we all love and will greatly miss you.
